Batman & Robin is shaping up to be the darkest of the Batman books.
-
Sure, we’ve got some strong links to Batman Incorporated, as well as the growing mystery of an all new villain, but compared to other books in the Bat-stable this book just isn’t that interesting.
-
Tomasi avoids the typical Big Reveal and goes for an almost casual introduction to a pivotal character — one that has a yet-to-be-revealed history with Bruce. Let the games begin.
-
The majority of Batman and Robin #2 is rock solid. Every scene featuring Bruce, Damian and Alfred is spectacular. However, the book ends on a really lame note, if I'm being honest.
-
Tomasi has the writing skills to manage where this is leading. I for one, am definitely along for the ride!
-
Seriously awesome issue. It's one of the few new 52 issues to be just as good as the first issue.
-
"Batman and Robin" is a pleasant middle-ground Bat-comic, one that stakes itself out in the center of the Bat-spectrum.
-
Batman fans will find the regular Batman series from Snyder thrilling and action-packed, Batman and Robin #2 compliments it by adding character depth through father and son bonding. It's good to see characters evolving in comics.
